ABOUT ASHLEY GREER
Professional Sports, Editorial, & CONCERT Photographer
I’m Ashley Greer, a freelance photographer based in Northeast Oklahoma and available for regional and national assignments. I photograph sports, concerts, and events with a focus on decisive moments, authentic emotion, and the atmosphere that makes each assignment distinct.
The story often extends beyond the main action. I look for the reaction after the final whistle, the connection between performers onstage, and the moments in the crowd that show what it felt like to be there.
With more than 20 years of experience in photography and post-production, I bring strong timing, anticipation, and an efficient editing workflow to every assignment. My work includes football, baseball, wrestling, basketball, rodeo, and concerts featuring Grammy-winning artists.
I typically deliver galleries within 24–48 hours, depending on the assignment. Private galleries are available upon request.
EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE CAMERA
Photography has been part of my life for decades.
I was introduced to the craft through my father, who has more than 50 years of photography experience. His career began in the darkroom era and evolved through the transition to digital photography. His knowledge of composition, lighting, technique, and the discipline required to create exceptional images became the foundation for my own development as a photographer.
Over the years, I have continued building upon that foundation through professional experience, education, advanced post-production, and thousands of hours behind the camera.
Sports photography ultimately became one of the areas where that experience came together.
On the sideline, there are no second chances. The photographer has to anticipate what is about to happen, understand the sport, position accordingly, react instantly, and capture a fraction of a second that may never happen again.
That challenge is exactly what draws me to sports photography.
MORE THAN THE PLAY
My approach to sports coverage is journalistic and story-driven.
While peak action is an important part of my work, I also look for the moments surrounding it—the preparation, determination, disappointment, celebration, leadership, sportsmanship, fans, traditions, and atmosphere that give an athletic event its identity.
My goal is to create a body of images that allows someone who wasn't there to understand what it felt like to be there.
I approach every sideline and venue with respect for the athletes, coaches, officials, media professionals, organizations, and credential policies that make professional sports coverage possible.
PROFESSIONAL & EDITORIAL ASSIGNMENTS
I am available for freelance and commissioned photography assignments.
Athletic Departments • Professional & Collegiate Sports Organizations • Newspapers • Magazines • Digital Publications • Media Outlets • Sports Organizations • Editorial Assignments • Event Coverage • Concert Photography
I am comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments and understand the importance of professionalism, appropriate sideline and stage conduct, efficient post-production, and delivering publication-quality imagery.
My goal is to continue growing as a sports, concert, and editorial photographer while building lasting relationships with publications, athletic departments, artists, venues, and organizations. Whether I’m on a sideline or in front of a stage, I want to create images that capture the defining moments, the atmosphere, and the people who make each event matter.
